About Corosolic Acid:
Banaba leaf extract contains a very important and valuable compound known as Corosolic Acid. It is an antidiabetic activity of a standardized extract (Glucosol) from Lagerstroemia speciosa
leaves in Type II diabetics. These supplements are marketed to aid in metabolic disorders that can affect blood glucose (sugar) levels and even among diabetics who are insulin dependent.
Dosage of Glucosol:
Glucosol at daily dosages of 48mg for 2 weeks showed a significant reduction in the blood glucose levels. Glucosol in a soft gel capsule formulation has abetter bioavailability than a dry-powder formulation.
